The situation

Code Nexus's basic rules filter marks every comment containing "fire" as dangerous — including "this track is fire" and "fire drill at 3pm". Moderators are drowning in false positives.

What you'll learn

  • PCEP 2.1: if / elif / else, nested conditions, comparison operators, Boolean logic (and / or / not), and truthiness.

Who you work with

  • Amara Okafor

    ML and Data Engineer

  • Lydia Roe

    Security Engineer

Scenes

  1. 1.A word is not a meaning
  2. 2.Trace the branches
  3. 3.Build the transparent filter
  4. 4.Overlapping rules
  5. 5.Boolean logic check

What you leave with

You built a filter whose every branch is a sentence a moderator could defend: flag needs a threat AND a target, ambiguity escalates to a human, and a convenience rule can't override a safety check.
