Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Code Nexus collects, uses, and protects personal information when you use our Code Nexus mission platform. We process information in accordance with applicable South African privacy law, including POPIA.
Information we collect
We collect account details such as your name and email; mission activity such as completed actions, evidence, scores, and progress; mentor-support requests and notes you choose to send; and subscription records such as plan, billing period, transaction reference, and payment status.
Payment information
Payments are processed by Payfast (Pty) Ltd (Payfast). Payment credentials are entered on Payfast’s systems and are not stored by Code Nexus. Payfast sends us the transaction and subscription information needed to activate access, reconcile billing, handle cancellations, and process refunds. Payfast’s own Privacy Policy also applies to its processing.
How we use information
We use information to provide and secure the platform, save mission progress and evidence, deliver mentor support, activate and administer subscriptions, communicate service and billing updates, prevent abuse, comply with legal duties, and improve the learning experience.
Service providers
We use trusted providers to operate the service, including Supabase for authentication and data hosting, Payfast for payment processing, Cloudflare R2 for file storage, and Resend for transactional email. Providers process information only for the services they deliver to us and under their own applicable terms.
Sharing and international processing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with the providers above, where you ask us to provide mentor support, or where disclosure is required by law. Some providers may process information outside South Africa; we use safeguards intended to provide an appropriate level of protection.
Retention and security
We keep account and mission records while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards. Billing records may be retained for tax and financial-record obligations. We use access controls, encryption in transit, and provider security measures. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information, subject to legal retention requirements. You may also object to certain processing or complain to the Information Regulator. Contact our information officer at support@codenexus.co.za.
Cookies and local storage
We use browser storage needed to keep you signed in, remember your cookie choice, and operate mission interactions. With your consent we also use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used; it is not loaded unless you accept. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
