Terms and Conditions

1. The service

Code Nexus is an online learning platform delivered through interactive Code Nexus story missions. We provide immediate access to the released content included with your account or subscription. You choose when and how quickly to work through it; there is no fixed programme end date during an active subscription.

2. Accounts and eligibility

Keep your account information accurate and your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity on your account. You must be 18 or older, or have a parent or legal guardian accept these Terms on your behalf.

3. Subscriptions and pricing

Code Nexus charges a subscription fee, not a once-off course fee. Plans are available as monthly or yearly recurring subscriptions (yearly gives 1 month free); the Certification Prep tier can also be paid six months upfront as a once-off payment at a 20% discount. Current published prices are:

PayFast shows the final ZAR amount before payment. We may change prices or included features with reasonable notice; a change will not alter a period already paid for.

4. Payment and access

Payments are processed by Payfast (Pty) Ltd (Payfast). Payfast handles your payment credentials under its own terms and security controls. Monthly and yearly subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. A six-month subscription covers six months from successful payment and is a once-off payment that does not renew beyond that term unless the checkout terms say otherwise. Access is activated after successful payment and delivered online over the applicable subscription period.

5. Mentor support

Both paid tiers include up to four mentor calls per month, with each call lasting 30 minutes. Calls are subject to reasonable scheduling availability and are educational guidance, not a guarantee of employment, exam success, or a particular outcome.

6. Certification

Code Nexus does not issue any third-party certification. We provide preparation content and direct you to the relevant exam provider (Python Institute, LPI, GitHub, Microsoft, AWS, or the Linux Foundation) to book and sit its exam. Exam fees and vouchers are not included in the Certification Prep tier unless expressly stated at checkout.

7. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel a recurring subscription by following the account cancellation flow or contacting billing@codenexus.co.za. Cancellation stops future renewals; access remains available through the paid period. Refund eligibility is described in the Refund and Cancellation Policy, including the seven-day satisfaction window.

8. Acceptable use and intellectual property

Use the missions and materials for your personal learning. Do not copy, resell, redistribute, scrape, disrupt, or attempt to bypass access controls. Code Nexus and its licensors retain rights in the platform, missions, text, artwork, and software. You retain rights in original work you submit, while allowing us to process it to operate the service and provide support.

9. Availability and liability

We work to keep the service available but do not promise uninterrupted operation or a specific learning, employment, or certification result. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to fees paid by you in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
