The situation

Leo wants a tiny engagement calculator for creator reports. His current process is a spreadsheet named please_work.xlsx that he edits by hand every Monday.

What you'll learn

  • PCEP 1.1-1.5: syntax, indentation, literals, numeral systems, numeric and bitwise operators, operator precedence, type conversion, console input and output.
  • PEP 8 naming, scientific-notation float literals and the bitwise operators (& | ^ ~ << >>).

Who you work with

  • Maya Chen

Senior AI Engineer · Your mentor

  • Leo Martins

    Product Manager

Scenes

  1. 1.The spreadsheet has to go
  2. 2.Read the expression
  3. 3.Write engagement_calc.py
  4. 4.Someone edited it
  5. 5.Python mechanics check

What you leave with

You converted the supplied inputs before arithmetic, used operator precedence, produced labelled output and diagnosed the extra operation in the average. The provided cases give evidence of those behaviours; they do not cover every possible input.
